The academic year consists of two semesters. The Fall Semester,
which commences in October and the Spring Semester, which
commences in February. Each semester begins with student
registration and ends with final examinations.
A separate Summer Semester is offered to students wishing to
attend the Foundation Course. This includes intensive English
courses that develop student's linguistic skills and their ability to
follow regular courses of study.
Assessment
The assessment of students includes results of all written
examinations, tests, assignments, projects, attendance at
lectures and participation in class.
A student will graduate from the college when they have
successfully completed the requirements as set by the course.
The permitted unjustified absences for all courses are 20% (for
each lesson). Any student who accumulates more than 20%
unjustified absences will be suspended.
The Pass Mark will be 45% of the total Mark for every lesson.
A student may discontinue his/her course of study under the
condition that he/she continues with in one academic year only
after permission from director.
Awards of Certificates/ Diplomas and Transcripts
At the conclusion of each semester students receive an Academic Record on which all the courses attended are recorded as well as the
grades awarded. Upon successful completion, students are awarded the Certificate, a Diploma or a Degree in their specific field of study. Together with
the Certificate, a Diploma or a Degree, the students also receive an Academic Transcript on which all the courses attended are recorded as well as
the corresponding grades.
Change of Students Personal Data
It is the responsibility of each student to inform the College of any changes regarding their personal information, including name,
address, telephone number and e-mail.
Academic Fraudulence and breach of discipline
- Cheating is defined as giving or receiving unauthorized assistance of any form during any academic examination, test, project,
or assignment.
- Plagiarism is the presentation of work as one's own, when it has in fact, been written by someone else.
- Breach of discipline refers to engaging in inappropriate conduct, which may disrupt teaching and learning activities or the
administration of the College.
Students’ rights and responsibilities
- The right to speak and act freely provided they do so within the parameters of the College regulations.
- The right to expect assistance from the College faculty and administrative staff on academic issues and other general matters.
- The right to be treated with respect regardless of race, gender, age, religion and nationality.
- The responsibility to be aware of the College rules and regulations and in particular the requirements of the programme of study they
have selected and to fulfil their obligations.
- The responsibility to complete a Faculty Evaluation Form as accurately as possible.
Students’ Records
These records include personal data, which are not revealed to anyone (except what is required by law), without the student's prior
consent.
Damage of College Property
Students are responsible for any damage to College property and are expected to cover all costs of repairs.
Graduation
In order to graduate, students must complete all course requirements successfully. The annual graduation ceremony takes place early
in summer.
